Who we are
Pack-Man Consulting is the trading name of PACK-MAN CONSULTING LTD, a private limited company registered in England with company number 15238886. Our registered office is 115 Harvey Road, Willesborough, Ashford, Kent, TN24 0AR. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. What we collect and why
Enquiries
When you use the contact form, email or phone us, we collect the details you give us: usually your name, email address, company, phone number and the content of your message. We use this to reply, to discuss and deliver the services you ask about, and to keep a record of our correspondence.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to business enquiries and running our consultancy) or, where you are asking us to provide a service, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Website analytics
If you accept statistics cookies in our consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed and how visitors arrive. We configure it without advertising features. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. If you do not consent, analytics cookies are not set.
Technical data
Like most websites, our hosting and security systems process technical information such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse (for example, limiting repeated failed log-in attempts). Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and our business, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Microsoft (Azure), which hosts this website and its database in the UK
- Our email provider, which delivers and stores enquiry emails
- Google, for Google Analytics, only if you consent
Some providers, such as Google, may process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep data
We keep enquiries and related correspondence for up to two years after our last contact, unless they become part of a client engagement, in which case we keep business records for as long as required by law (normally six years). Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
